WASP attack

Curiously California-like weather in Connecticut this Thanksgiving weekend.
That's me at the helm of the War Canoe with my fearsome tribe of cousins. Although the canoe is an 80-year-old family heirloom, I still feel a tad like I'm an extra in a J. Crew photoshoot when sporting about in it.

We also had a bonfire (with fireworks, natch) and taught our visiting British relatives the virtues --such as they are -- of S'Mores. Cousins spotted, appropriately, a wild turkey, but I didn't see it.
