Well, the blog here has been a little dormant: for most of 2015 I was super-busy creating content elsewhere as a Pier 9 Artist in Residence.

Besides leveling up in my CAD skills, I made quite a few things. Some highlights:

• Laser Fan
• Dual Polyhedra
• 3D Sphericon
• Scintillation Bar and Star Atlas
• 3D Printed Quasicrystals
• Ommatid spherical display: construction and electronics

I am particularly pleased with the Ommatid. This is a spherical display as well as a sensor array so it has a lot of potential for interesting user interactions. Right now I only have a glorified test program running, but I am working on some neat things like reaction-diffusion and the wave equation on the spherical grid. More on that hopefully soon!
