A 30-foot high steel sculpture with 3000 watts of computer-controlled LEDS, by Charlie Gadeken. Each one of 189 branches can be individually color controlled, for a total of 567 DMX channels. We used 20 Celestial Audio DMX32 boards and a custom two-universe DMX interface board. Custom DMX controller software was written in pure Python using the wxPython and Pyserial libraries.
This was installed in front of Palo Alto City Hall in Palo Alto, CA for two years.
