CM2-inspired LED panel

A commission to design a LED display inspired by the iconic 1980s Connection Machine. Designed in the peak of the semiconductor shortage, it uses older-generation LED drivers (the Holtek HT1632A ) that would be stocked by overseas distributors. The design is one large PCB that can be used for both the left and right half of a 64 x 64 monochomatic display. The brains of the operation is a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 which dives the over the SPI bus and offers wifi connectivity to receive LED patterns. The LEDs used have a spectral center > 635 nm for a vintage deep red color.
